BI Engineer

Our Data & BI team is one of our core business & product-oriented teams that leads BI solutions to various products and departments within the company and for client-facing requirements.

We are looking for an experienced BI-Engineer with vast experience as a Tableau developer.

What you’ll do:

By using creative data solutions, you will define business requirements and turn them into effective data solutions, including dashboards, reports, and visualizations. In this role, you will collaborate with many teams (including product management, account management, support, operations, and finance) and present data at the highest levels of the company.

You will take full ownership of the Tableau reporting and dashboards life cycle and development infrastructure, as well as design and implementation of different data pipelines and data-warehousing solutions.

In order to succeed in this position, you should possess a broad understanding of the business technology landscape, a good understanding of data and database infrastructure methodologies accepted nowadays, as well as strong analytical skills and the ability to design reports. Ultimately, a top-notch tableau developer should have an aptitude for using computers, strong written and verbal communication, and proficiency in reporting analysis tools.

Primary responsibilities:

• Maintenance and development of existing and new BI solutions
• Design and develop ETL processing and optimized data stores for serving BI solutions
• Data ownership and quality - master your data, define and conduct various tests and measurements to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design
• Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues

Required knowledge and skills - Must have

• Relevant work experience - 2+ years as full time BI developer or data analyst
• Highly versed with SQL and complicated query techniques, relational and non-relational databases, normalization
• Proficiency in use of query and reporting analysis tools
• Knowledge of Python coding and proven scripting skills (bash, php, js)
• Self learner and “launch and forget” abilities
• Competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.)
• Extensive experience in developing, maintaining and managing internal information driven systems (dashboards & analytics for internal stake-holders, e.g. finance)
• Tableau administration/architecture
• Excellent presentation and collaboration skills. strong communication skills with excellent English
