Matthew Wicks

Matthew Wicks has a long history of software engineering experience. Matthew began their career in 2003 as a self-employed software engineer, working with the LAMP stack, PHP, MySQL, cPanel, Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, and more. Matthew was responsible for maintaining and overseeing custom platform backends for main sites and regional/corporate portals, user/member account creation, payment and order processing systems, CMS, site and email administration. In 2014, they joined Peerspace as a Senior Principal Engineer and Director, and later as a Senior Lead Software Engineer and Software Engineer.

Matthew Wicks attended the University of Minnesota from 2000 to 2002, studying Physics. Matthew then transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles in 2003 and continued to study Physics until 2005. In 2005, they transferred to UC Santa Barbara and completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physics in 2006.
