Alexey Potakhov has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Alexey began their career as a Software Engineer at Elecard Devices Ltd. in December 2001. Alexey then moved on to Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) where they worked as a Lecturer from September 2002 to May 2005. After that, they joined Tomsksoft LLC as a CTO, where they were responsible for Windows/Linux Networking development and managed various projects as a Project and Client Manager. At Camshare Inc., they served as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead from July 2002 to April 2015. Following this, they worked at Tomsk Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they managed a consulting software development company and oversaw the overall software development process. Currently, they are employed at Paltalk, Inc. as a Principal Software Architect, leading the streaming services/backend team and developing client-server and peer-to-peer networking software. With their extensive experience, Alexey Potakhov has gained expertise in system architecture, content delivery networks, audio/video streaming, and DDoS protection.

Alexey Potakhov completed their education at Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics. From 1997 to 2002, they pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science. Subsequently, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the same university, completing their studies from 2002 to 2005.
