Summary:

The Sales Manager leads the PRN Sales Team in the assigned region to drive sales and increase market share within the animal health industry.  The position will call on key customers, work with distributors, and provide coaching and feedback during rides with Sale Representatives to assist with day-to-day target achievements and ongoing professional development. 

Responsibilities:

  • Attract, develop, evaluate, differentiate, and retain top talent through recruiting / hiring, ongoing coaching, proactive / effective use of both colleague development, KPIs, IDPs, and performance management tools. 
  • Ride with field sales representatives to provide coaching to achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets. 
  • Implement, demonstrate, and coach the PBI Way model for ongoing development of the overall sales team to strengthen core capabilities and drive increased revenue.
  • In alignment with leadership, create business plans for assigned region and support sales representatives on business plans for their assigned territories through continuous coaching and feedback. 
  • Share market insights with leadership to include driving market share, product growth, product defense, and new product ideas.
  • Work with leaders on budget creation and periodic reforecasts and maintain regional budget, to include timely reporting and approvals. 
  • Develop and maintain key relationships, to include distributor partners, and attend industry conferences, sales meetings, and trade shows as requested.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, animal health or related industry.
  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, required. 5+ years of experience in animal health industry sales and 3+ years of experience leading people, preferred.    
  • Experience managing distributor accounts, building customer relationships and managing large sales territories.
  • Strong communication, coaching and feedback skills.
  • Travel up to 75% of time.
