Oriol Roca Baringo

Oriol Roca Baringo has a range of work experience primarily in editorial roles.

Starting in 2009, they worked as a Técnico Superior in the Departamento de Filología Española until June of the same year.

In 2010, they became a Becario at Marbot Ediciones, where their responsibilities included proofreading various literary works.

The following year, Oriol had a short-term role as an Indexador at RAE (Real Academia Española) in July 2011.

Oriol then transitioned to Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial in September 2011, starting as a Becario in the Departamento de Redacción de Random House Mondadori until June 2012.

Continuing within the company, Oriol returned in December 2012 as a Técnico Editorial until June 2013.

After a brief break, they rejoined Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial in September 2015, where they initially worked with the Penguin Clásicos collection, as well as the Debolsillo Cómic division. From 2017 onwards, Oriol took charge of the production for the Debate and Taurus imprints.

Most recently, they began a new role in February 2021 as the Director del área de Edición Técnica in the Infantil&Juvenil&Cómic division at Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial.

Oriol Roca Baringo's education history is as follows:

- In 2006 to 2010, Oriol Roca Baringo attended the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and earned a Bachelor's degree in Hispanic Philology.

- In 2010, Oriol Roca Baringo studied at the Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística and obtained a Nivell D degree in Catalan Language and Literature.

- From 2010 to 2011, Oriol Roca Baringo pursued a Postgraduate degree in Linguistic Correction and Advice, specializing in Written Texts, at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

- In 2015, Oriol Roca Baringo completed a Curso de editing (Editing Course) at Ateneu Barcelonès, focusing on the Language field.

- Also in 2015, Oriol Roca Baringo attended Cursiva and undertook a Curso de corrección de estilo (Style Editing Course) in the Spanish Language field.

- Oriol Roca Baringo enrolled in Cálamo & Cran in 2010 and completed a Curso de corrección ortotipográfica (Orthotypographic Correction Course) in the field of Letters.

- In 2017 to 2018, Oriol Roca Baringo participated in a course called El oficio del editor (The Editor's Profession) at Ateneu Barcelonès, focusing on Language and Literature.
