Marian Vernon is an experienced conservation professional with a focus on wildlife management and habitat connectivity. As the Wildlife Linkages Program Manager at Peninsula Open Space Trust since December 2021, Marian oversees the Wildlife Linkages program, enhancing habitat connectivity through various initiatives. Prior experience includes serving as the Sierra Meadow Adaptation Leader at Point Blue Conservation Science, where climate change adaptation was integrated into meadow restoration efforts. A Strategic Initiatives Analyst at Sonoma Land Trust, Marian contributed to strategic planning and implementation. Earlier roles include conducting research on elk and grizzly bear management at the Northern Rockies Conservation Cooperative and urban wildlife research at Lincoln Park Zoo. Marian holds a Master of Environmental Science from Yale School of the Environment and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from DePaul University.
