David Lingenfelter

David Lingenfelter is the Vice President of Information Security at Penn National Gaming. David has over 20 years of experience in the information security field.

David started their career as a security consultant with ThruPoint, Inc. in 1999. In this role, they were responsible for the evaluation, planning, purchasing, installation, and configuration of different security equipment for customers’ security infrastructures. David also worked as a Project Manager on several different security-related projects. David performed Penetration Tests and Security Audit Assessments and wrote up and presented the results to both technical staff and management.

In 2000, David became the Information Security Officer at MaaS360 by Fiberlink, an IBM Company. In this role, they were responsible for the overall security of the company’s network and data. David implemented security policies and procedures and monitored compliance with these policies. David also conducted security audits and risk assessments.

In 2012, David became the President of the Cloud Security Alliance Delaware Valley Chapter. The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to promote the use of best practices for providing security assurance within Cloud Computing, and to provide education on the uses of Cloud Computing to help secure all other forms of computing. The Delaware Valley chapter is designed to promote the principals of safe, secure and practical cloud computing to businesses throughout the Delaware Valley region.

David has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Drexel University. David is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

David Lingenfelter's educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

David Lingenfelter reports to Richard Primus, SVP, Chief Information Officer.
