Paula Tinch serves as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Penn State Health, where she is responsible for managing the health system’s finances, including financial planning, management of financial risks, revenue cycle, treasury and financial reporting.
Tinch was previously senior vice president of finance for Rochester Regional Health in upstate New York, where she oversaw the core financial aspects of the $2.2 billion integrated health system. She led the teams responsible for the financial operations of the health system’s five major acute care hospitals, senior living facilities, primary care and specialty physician office sites and multiple specialty programs. When Rochester General Hospital began a $260 million renovation project, she took on the additional responsibilities of the hospital’s chief financial officer.
Tinch also spent 11 years with Excellus Health Plan, a $5 billion health insurance provider, where she served in several progressive roles, including as director of finance. She also served on the finance committee of both the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and Willow Domestic Violence Center in Rochester.
A certified public accountant, Tinch earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Binghamton University, New York.
