Leader Of Penn State IT Service Desk, Deskside Support, And Call Center Teams at Penn State University

Glenna Emel has an extensive career in education and technology services, currently serving as the Leader of Penn State IT Service Desk, Deskside Support, and Call Center Teams since March 2006. This role involves supervision of multiple teams that provide technology support to the Penn State community. Prior positions include Operations Manager and Manager of IT Learning and Development, where Glenna oversaw training initiatives for faculty and staff across 24 campuses. In addition to a rich background in IT training and instructional design, Glenna has served as VP of Finance for the HDI Steel City Chapter, a middle school teacher, and held leadership roles in the United States Army Reserve and Marine Corps. Academic credentials include a Master of Education in Technology Integration from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Education from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.
