Annette Newton

Annette Newton has an extensive work experience in the field of human resources and talent development. Annette began their career as an HR Partner at Walgreens Boots Alliance, where they worked from April 2013 to May 2015. In this role, they partnered with the Head of Region to shape and deliver the people plan for the region, focusing on customer satisfaction, performance, and tackling any local people issues.

Following their time at Walgreens Boots Alliance, Annette worked as an HR Change Partner from June 2015 to April 2017. Annette covered a region of 240 stores, providing support and coaching to regional leaders during periods of change. Annette assessed the capability and capacity of the stores organization to deliver transformational change, identifying people-related risks and their impact on business performance.

In 2017, Annette started their own business, Newton HR Solutions Ltd, where they served as the Business Owner. Annette'scompany provided comprehensive, personalized people solutions for small business owners, ranging from start-ups to established businesses. Annette helped these owners optimize their workforce for their business needs.

Most recently, Annette joined Pennon Group Plc as the Head of Talent and Development in October 2020. Prior to this role, they worked as a Human Resources Business Partner for the company from July 2018 to October 2020.

Annette Newton attended Richard Huish College in Taunton from 1994 to 1996, where they studied Business Studies, Psychology, and Mathematics. Annette then went on to study at the University of Plymouth from 1996 to 1999, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA degree in Business Administration and Management.
