Ryan Hartman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ryan started their career at NBC News in 2006 as an Editing Assistant, where they played a crucial role in coordinating footage and maintaining the archival database. Ryan also assisted on-air talent and successfully pitched story ideas that became televised segments.
In 2008, Hartman transitioned to the healthcare sector, working at AmSurg as a Database Analyst. Ryan developed procedure metrics to streamline volume and collaborated with surgery staff on marketing efforts. Additionally, they managed SharePoint utilization and spearheaded marketing endeavors that resulted in over $150,000 in added revenue.
After four years at AmSurg, Hartman joined ReedPOP in 2012 as a Content Manager. In this role, they coordinated attendee-facing content for major gaming conventions and contributed to show layout development and website construction. Ryan excelled in creating and executing large-scale budgets, exceeding revenue goals, and driving growth.
Hartman's most recent position was at Penny Arcade, Inc. where they held two roles. Ryan started in 2016 as the Director of Events, overseeing strategic planning, deadlines, and programming for the PAX portfolio of gaming conventions. Ryan also created budgets and forecasting for two major event launches. In 2019, they were promoted to Vice President, Media, Content, and Events.
