Jimmy Maidens

Jimmy Maidens is a seasoned professional in the field of visual effects and digital artistry, currently serving as Co-Founder and Board Director at Penrose since April 2015. Previously, Jimmy held the role of Senior Technical Artist at StageGlass from January 2022 to December 2022, where contributions included developing best practices for Unreal asset preparation and creating automation tools for data imports. With a significant tenure at PDI/DreamWorks from July 2003 to 2014, Jimmy advanced from a Lighter to Lead Lighter, focusing on sequence lighting setup, compositing, and mentoring, while also representing the studio in various presentations. Earlier experience includes a role as Multimedia Artist at AcceleraRomar / Learnware, showcasing a diverse skill set in both 3D and 2D visual media. Jimmy earned an Associate's Degree in Fine Arts from Montgomery County Community College and has attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
