Steve Young

Steve Young has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Steve started their career as an Aeroscout Observer, Crew Chief, and Operations NCO in the military. Steve then moved on to work as the Chief Financial Officer for Advanced Internet Technologies, Inc. where they played a key role in the company's growth and expansion. Following this, they served as the Chief Financial Officer for Fandango Productions, LLC., where they implemented new back office systems and managed the relocation of the company's operations. Currently, Steve is employed at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) as the Deputy Director of the Financial Operations Department. Steve has held various roles within PBGC, including Senior Financial Information Systems Specialist and Financial Information Systems Specialist, where they provided leadership and support in the development and enhancement of financial management systems.

Steve Young, CGFM, CGCIO has a bachelor's degree in Managerial Accounting from Methodist University, which they obtained from 1994 to 1999. Steve also completed a certification in Certified Government Chief Information Officer (CGCIO) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014-2015. Additionally, they have certifications as a Tableau Analyst from Tableau Software in 2020 and as a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) from the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) in 2016. Steve has also obtained a certification as a Microsoft Certified Business Solutions Specialist from Microsoft in 2007. Steve Young has pursued additional education in information technology acquisition from Defense Acquisition University in 2013. Steve also attended J World Annapolis Performance Sailing School in 2013, although the field of study is unspecified.
