Manori Ravindran

International Editor, Variety at PMC

Manori Ravindran is International Editor of Variety, based out of London, where she oversees all news and manages the global team of correspondents, in addition to reporting on the international film and TV markets.

Manori is tasked with growing Variety’s reach out of the U.S. and strengthening and expanding the brand’s coverage and visibility in an array of international markets. She is a regular moderator at various festivals and conferences around the world, and a frequent contributor to the BBC’s The Media Show and World Service programs.

She was previously Editor of Television Business International magazine, where she grew online readership by 30% within her first six months on the job by breaking news and re-establishing the brand globally. Prior to that, Manori was International Editor of U.K. trade weekly Broadcast.

Manori, a Vancouver native, got her start in the industry at Realscreen magazine in Toronto, where she served as news editor, covering the documentary and non-scripted market. She began her career as a freelance arts writer and film critic for publications including Canada’s national newspapers, The Globe and Mail and National Post.

Manori has a B.A. in sociology from the University of British Columbia, an M.A. in sociology from McMaster University and a Master of Journalism from Ryerson University in Toronto.
