David Awanda

David Awanda is an experienced leader in health physics and logistics with a strong background in radiation protection and biodefense systems. Currently serving as the Pentagon Radiation Protection Officer and Biodefense Systems Program Manager at the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, David oversees the Radiological and Biological Systems Defense Program for over 26,000 federal employees. Previous roles include Chief of Health Physics Services at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Health Physics Instructor at AMEDD C&S Health Readiness Center of Excellence, and Company Commander for Alpha Company in the Academy Battalion. David's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Public Health with a concentration in Environmental Health and a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, complemented by a Bachelor of Applied Science in Medicine.
