Caryn Thor Lesser

Caryn Thor Lesser is a seasoned professional in the nonprofit and social impact sectors, currently serving as the Sustainability Manager for Social Impact & Supply Chain at Pentair since July 2023. Lesser holds a position as a Board Trustee for the Wisconsin Union since August 2022 and previously worked as the PRI Portfolio Manager at the Venn Foundation, advancing charitable impact through Program-Related Investments from June 2022 to August 2023. Lesser has extensive experience with the Greater Twin Cities United Way, holding roles from Senior Manager to Manager of Community Impact Operations between September 2019 and July 2023. Earlier positions include Grants and Operations Manager at The Prospect Hill Foundation, Program Officer Intern at the Polk Bros. Foundation, and various roles at CCS Fundraising and Kids In Danger. Lesser holds a Master's degree from the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature and Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
