Ajit Mayya

Ajit Mayya is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in engineering and product development. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Zscaler, Ajit is focused on enhancing customer security and facilitating digital transformation. As a Venture Partner at Pentathlon Ventures, Ajit aids early-stage technology companies in scaling their businesses. Previously, Ajit held key leadership roles at VMware, where as VP of Engineering in the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) Business Unit, important product innovations were driven, earning VMware recognition from Gartner for three consecutive years. Ajit's entrepreneurial spirit as a co-founder of VeloCloud Networks, Inc., combined with earlier engineering leadership positions at companies such as Youweb, SGI, and WebMD, showcases a robust career dedicated to advancing cloud technologies and network solutions. Ajit holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
