Ian Connett has extensive work experience in the manufacturing engineering field. Ian started their career at UCSF as an Undergraduate Researcher, where they focused on microfabrication and single-molecule fluorescence imaging techniques. Ian then joined Abbott as a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op, where they optimized processes for the production of medical devices and performed qualification testing. Afterward, they worked at QB3 as an Undergraduate Researcher, specializing in fabricating and characterizing microfluidic devices. Currently, Ian holds the position of Associate Principal Manufacturing Engineer at Penumbra, Inc., and has previously held roles of increasing responsibility in manufacturing engineering at the same company.
Ian Connett attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering.
