Vice President, Clinical Affairs at Penumbra

Michaella Corso has a strong background in clinical affairs and research. Michaella has held several leadership positions at different companies. At Penumbra, Inc., they served as the Vice President, overseeing global strategy and operations in neuro and peripheral vascular. Michaella built a cohesive team and played a key role in obtaining worldwide product approvals for blood clot treatment technology. Prior to this, at Intersect ENT, they were the Senior Manager of Clinical Operations, where they successfully managed the RESOLVE II trial for a drug/device combo stent, reducing the need for repeat surgeries. Corso also has extensive experience at Edwards Lifesciences, where they held various roles in clinical research, focusing on the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement Program. Michaella achieved early enrollment completion in several studies and collaborated with core labs and committees. Additionally, they worked as a Health Educator at Support For International Change UK, where they partnered with local teachers to develop a sexual health curriculum and provided resources in rural villages.

Michaella Corso has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology from UCLA. Michaella also has experience in Language and Cultural Studies from Lorenzo de Medici in Florence, Italy.
