Royal Wang has a comprehensive work experience spanning various roles in research and development. Royal started their career as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Pacific Biosciences in 2011. Following that, they worked as a Graduate Researcher at the Micro-Nano Innovations (MiNI) Laboratory, where they co-developed an anti-fouling hydrogel platform and developed a microfluidic platform for point-of-care applications. In 2013, they joined Adamant Technologies, Inc. as an R&D Engineer and later became an R&D Scientist. Royal also worked as a Senior R&D Engineer at Glint Photonics, Inc. in 2014. In 2015, they moved on to Breathometer, where they served as a Principal R&D Engineer and later became the Director of R&D. From 2017 to present, they have been employed at Penumbra, Inc. in various roles including R&D Manager, R&D Program Manager, and Director of R&D. Royal'smost recent role is the Vice President of Product Development.
Royal Wang attended the University of California, Davis, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biomedical Engineering. Royal also obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Microfluidics and BioMEMS.
