Guthrie Edson

Guthrie Edson has extensive experience in both sales and volunteer crisis counseling, currently serving as a Sales Associate at Penzeys Spices since August 2022 and as a Volunteer Crisis Counselor for Crisis Text Line since June 2021, where specialized training in risk assessment and empathetic listening was completed. Additionally, Guthrie has a background in officiating soccer, holding positions with the Commonwealth Soccer Officials Association and the U.S. Soccer Federation, and previously volunteered as a soccer referee for DC SCORES. Communications roles include serving as the VP of Communications for both the George Washington University Sports Business Association and GW Students Against Sexual Assault, along with a communications internship at Active Minds, Inc. Guthrie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Sport/Event/Hospitality Management from The George Washington University.
