Elliot Mincberg has extensive experience in civil rights and legal advocacy, serving in various senior roles throughout their career. Currently, Elliot Mincberg holds the position of General Deputy Assistant Secretary for Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development since June 2012. Prior roles include Senior Counsel at the same department, Chief Counsel for Oversight and Investigations for the House Judiciary Committee, and Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Legal Director at People For the American Way/Foundation. With a background in academia, Elliot Mincberg earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from Northwestern University.
