Taher al-Omar

Taher Al-Omar is an experienced education professional with a strong background in management and education project coordination. Currently serving as an Education Senior Officer at People in Need since September 2020, Taher has also held the role of MEAL Officer at Big Heart since December 2016. Previous positions include Team Leader at Big Heart, Education Project Manager at Syrian Youth Gathering, and Instructional Supervisor at the Directorate of Education. Taher began the career as an Arabic Teacher in the Ministry of Education in Syria. Academic qualifications include a Master of Business Administration from the Higher Institute of Management, a Diploma of Education from Tishreen University, and a Bachelor of Arts and Humanities in Arabic Language and Literature from Aleppo University.
