Dimitra Karakosta has extensive work experience, starting in 2005 as a Junior Accountant & Secretary at BIOFYT SA. Dimitra then worked at FOURLIS Group of Companies, starting in 2008 as a Financial Analyst & Executive Assistant to the CEO, and later transitioning to the role of Group Employment & Internal Communication Specialist. In 2016, they joined IKEA, HOUSE MARKET as an HR Executive. Dimitra joined Hellenic Toastmasters Club as a Board of Directors (BoD) Member in 2018. Dimitra then moved on to GPMA | ΣΔΑΔΕ, where they served as a Member of the BoD (Publicity & Communication), then as Secretary General - BoD member, and currently as a BoD member (Learning & Development) since 2023. Currently, Dimitra is working at PeopleCert. Dimitra started in 2018 as the Head of Talent Acquisition and later held the positions of Head of Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Group Human Resources Director, and Vice President People & Culture.

Dimitra Karakosta obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in International and European Economic Studies from Athens University of Economics and Business. Dimitra completed their undergraduate studies from 2003 to 2008.

Later, Dimitra pursued a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from the same institution, Athens University of Economics and Business. Dimitra successfully completed their postgraduate studies from 2015 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Dimitra also obtained a certification in "Employee Experience in a Hybrid Business World" from LinkedIn in August 2023.
