As a kid, Amber Hendrick was gripped by the graphical symphony in glossy magazines. The balance of typography, design elements, and whitespace made her realize that design was the only path for her. When she landed her first design job at a firm in Northern California, she got a chance to see how the pros approach the creative process. This cemented her love of the field. At PeopleConnect, Amber uses her skills to turn the web properties into exceptional customer experiences. While she’s at work she keeps four design principles in mind: 1) Simplify 2) Organize 3) Divide and conquer 4) Don’t lose sight of the end goal. She’s also an avid traveler, and her adventures have taken her to Mexico, Canada, France, Switzerland, Italy, Scotland, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Singapore. She’s very excited by how common problems are being solved by emerging technologies like wearable devices, genome editing, self-driving cars, and brain mapping. But she maintains that most first-world problems can be solved with cheesecake.
