Shannon Turner has been working in the field of human resources for over a decade. Shannon started their career in 2005 at Regions Bank, where they worked as a human resources generalist. In this role, Shannon was responsible for the full recruitment cycle for portions of Georgia and South Carolina markets. Shannon identified qualified candidates through candidate sourcing and applicant screening and interviewing, and negotiated salaries and extended offers. Shannon also worked with management to ensure awareness of upcoming staffing needs, made recommendations regarding internal applicants and staffing and succession strategies, and advised and assisted managers in the interviewing process. In addition, Shannon counseled managers and associates with interpretation of and adherence to Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, and regulations to promote a safe and positive work environment. Shannon advised managers on employee relations issues and progressive discipline, responded to employee complaints, and conducted internal investigations as necessary. Shannon also provided support and expertise on team building, conflict resolution, and leadership coaching. In the event of an injury, Shannon made the first report and advised associates and managers of proper workplace-related injuries and workers’ compensation procedures. Shannon also worked with Facilities to ensure physical safety requirements are met and with the Leave department on return-to-work releases. Shannon conducted training classes on Human Resources-related topics, to include leadership, diversity, and respect in the workplace. Finally, they conducted new associate orientation, communicated company mission, policies, and benefits to new associates, and ensured that all required documentation is completed to satisfy both organizational and governmental regulations

Shannon Turner has a Master's Degree in Administration from Georgia Southwestern State University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management, General from the same school. Shannon also has certification from SGRP in CPSP CERTIFICATION EXAM and from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
