Joel Fetzer

Joel Fetzer is a Distinguished Professor of Political Science and Director of the Survey Research Minor at Pepperdine University, where tenure began in 2001. Fetzer specializes in public opinion, comparative migration politics, and religion and politics, with area specializations in Europe, Asia, and North America. Responsibilities include teaching related courses and coordinating internship placements for the Survey Research Minor. Previously, Fetzer served as an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Central Michigan University from 1997 to 2000, focusing on migration politics, religion, European politics, American politics, and international relations. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Political Science from Yale University, a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Cornell University, along with additional study at the University of Mannheim and Sciences Po.
