Maureen Weston

Professor Of Law & Director, Entertainment Media Sports Law Program

Maureen Weston is a seasoned legal educator and practitioner, currently serving as a Professor of Law and the Director of the Entertainment Media Sports Law Program at Pepperdine University since August 2001. Weston's expertise encompasses Sports Law, Arbitration, Mediation, Negotiation, and Legal Ethics. In addition to an academic career, Weston participates as a member of the NCAA Committee on Infractions, volunteers as a tutor for School on Wheels, and serves as an arbitrator for both the American Arbitration Association and FINRA. Weston holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of Denver and a Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado. Previous academic positions include a visiting professorship at the University of Colorado and an associate professorship at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Before academia, Weston practiced law at Holme Roberts & Owen in commercial litigation, employment, and probate law.
