Christopher Smith

Christopher Smith has a background in information security, with experience working in various roles at different companies. Christopher most recently worked at Peppy as the Head of Information Security, and prior to that, they were an Information Security Manager at the same company. Before Peppy, Christopher worked as a Senior Information Security Analyst at Currencycloud, where they maintained ISO 27001:2013 certification and ensured compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Christopher also directed and maintained the organization's Supplier Due Diligence Process. Prior to that, they worked as an Information Security Analyst at Tilney Group, supporting integration activities and managing key applications and security toolsets. Christopher also has experience as a Security Analyst, where they assisted in building the Information Security department and Security Operations Center at SportPesa. Additionally, they worked at Experian as a Security Analyst on a fixed-term contract, ensuring compliance with PCI-DSS industry regulations.

Christopher Smith obtained their MSc in Cyber Security from Liverpool John Moores University in 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Games and Programming at the same university in 2016. Christopher has also obtained several certifications, including the Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in 2021, ISO 27001 Foundation and ISO 27001 Lead Implementer Information Security Certifications from The Knowledge Academy in 2021, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2021.
