Melanie Ng, PhD, RDN, is an Associate Principal Scientist at PepsiCo, specializing in Sensory & Consumer Experience for Sports & Fitness Beverages since June 2022. In this role, Melanie contributes to sustainability efforts within R&D and enhances global team collaboration through sensory panel development and laboratory safety initiatives. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Georgia from May 2016 to June 2022, where duties included teaching courses on food properties and sensory evaluation, as well as providing academic tutoring for student athletes. Additional roles include a Research and Development Internship at PepsiCo, a Practicum Student at Piedmont Athens Regional, and various positions focused on nutrition education and fitness instruction. Melanie holds a Ph.D. in Nutrition and Dietetic Internship from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from the same institution.
