Michele R. Thatcher

Michele R. Thatcher has extensive experience in human resources and legal counsel, currently serving as Chief Counsel for Global Labor and Employment and Chief Human Rights Officer at PepsiCo since 2012. In this role, Michele oversees the development and management of PepsiCo's global human rights program and advises senior executives on supply chain human rights issues. Previously, Michele held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Frito Lay, leading a team of over 400 professionals in succession planning and labor relations. Earlier career roles include Assistant General Counsel and VP of Employment Law at Frito-Lay North America, Partner at Baker Botts LLP specializing in employment litigation, and Associate at Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP. Michele holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctor degree from Southern Methodist University.
