Àlvar Farré i Colomés

Àlvar Farré i Colomés has a diverse work experience in various organizations. In 2017, they worked as a Quality Control Microbiologist at Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona (AMB) until 2019. In 2019, they also held a Research Fellowship position at Università degli Studi di Milano.

Starting in 2020, Àlvar joined Hospital Clínic de Barcelona as a Research Assistant until 2021. During this time, they gained experience in research activities.

In 2021, they worked as a Laboratory Specialist at Eurofins Megalab España S.A, where they played a key role in sampling and processing at El Prat-Barcelona Airport, particularly for Covid-19 tests. Àlvar improved the sample collection system, upgraded sampling procedures, and consolidated sampling and testing protocols.

From 2019, Àlvar is currently employed as a Research Assistant at Central Institute of Mental Health.

And, in 2022, they started working as a Clinical Distribution and Logistics Manager at Peptomyc.

Àlvar Farré i Colomés completed their education in the field of neuroscience. Àlvar obtained a Master's degree in Neuroscience from Universitat de Barcelona, which they pursued from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2019, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General at the same institution. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Fundamental Neuroscience for Neuroimaging from Coursera in December 2019 and in The Addicted Brain from Coursera in November 2018.
