Chris Simpson

Chris Simpson has a wealth of experience in data processing, computer vision engineering, research, and teaching. From 2020 to present, they have been the Head of Data Processing and Senior Computer Vision Engineer at Perceptual Robotics. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at the University of Bristol as a Senior Research Associate in Data Science for NDE, Senior Research Associate in Structural Integrity, and Research Associate in Structural Integrity. From 2014 to 2017, they were a Research Associate: Residual Stress Measurement and Fracture Characterisation at the University of Manchester. From 2008 to 2014, they worked at the University of Birmingham as a Doctoral Researcher, Post Graduate Teaching Assistant, and Research Assistant. In 2009, they also worked as a Research Scientist at Blue Ventures.

Chris Simpson completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical and Materials Engineering at the University of Birmingham from 2005 to 2008. Chris then continued their studies at the same university, obtaining a PhD in Aerospace Materials in 2013.
