Roel Gevana

Roel Gevana has extensive work experience in the field of business intelligence and data analysis. Roel currently holds the position of Business Intelligence Developer at Perch Insights and Full Potential Solutions, starting in 2022. Previously, from 2021 to 2022, Roel worked as a Data Analyst at UnitedHealth Group in their OptumLabs division.

Prior to this, Roel held various roles at Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc., including Business Intelligence Manager from 2017 to 2021, Planning Manager from 2016 to 2017, OPC Supervisor from 2013 to 2016, Sr. OPC Analyst from 2012 to 2013, and Management Trainee from 2010 to 2012.

Roel also worked as a Math/Stat Instructor at Cebu Technological University from 2011 to 2021 and as a BI Consultant at House of IT from 2017 to 2018.

Roel Gevana pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Cebu Technological University from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended The Sisters of Mary School Boystown from 2002 to 2005 without obtaining a degree or specifying a field of study.

In addition to their formal education, Roel Gevana has acquired several certifications. Roel completed various courses on data science and analytics through Coursera, including Developing Data Products, Practical Machine Learning, Regression Models, Statistical Inference, Exploratory Data Analysis, Getting and Cleaning Data, R Programming, and The Data Scientist’s Toolbox. These certifications were obtained from 2017 to 2019.

Furthermore, Roel Gevana has obtained certifications in Google Analytics, including Google Analytics Individual Qualification, Advanced Google Analytics, and Google Analytics for Beginners. These were acquired from 2019 to 2022. Roel also obtained a dbt Fundamentals certification from dbt Labs in 2023.
