John Messina

Mr. Messina is a Managing Director in Perella Weinberg Partners’ Advisory business based in the Chicago office. He focuses on advising clients in the Industrials sector.

Mr. Messina has more than 20 years of investment banking experience assisting companies on a wide range of strategic matters. During his tenure at Perella Weinberg Partners, he has advised Novelis on the sale of its Duffel aluminum rolling mill to GFG Alliance and the sale of its Lewisport aluminum rolling mill to American Industrial Partners; KPS Capital Partners on its acquisition of Norsk Hydro’s global aluminum rolling business; and PureCycle Technologies on its business combination with Roth CH Acquisition I.

Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners in January of 2018, Mr. Messina was at PwC Corporate Finance as a Director advising companies in the Industrial Products sector on mergers and acquisitions transactions. He was previously at Citigroup from 2001 to 2015, most recently as a Director in the Global Industrials Group focused on metals & mining, advising a global client base on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising transactions.

Mr. Messina earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.
