Aniq Ahmed has extensive work experience in the banking and financial services industry. Aniq started their career in 2010 as an Analyst at Copal Partners, where they researched and reported on the organizational structures of investment banks and assisted in reviewing pitches from private equity houses. In 2012, they became a Management Consultant at Management Solutions. Aniq then joined Deloitte LLP in 2013 as a Manager in the Banking & Capital Markets Advisory, where they reviewed a global bank's compliance with banking regulations and conducted skills-based reviews on behalf of UK banking regulators.

In 2016, Aniq became the Chief of Staff at Amicus Finance PLC, where they led various change and development initiatives. Aniq then joined a financial services firm in 2018 as a Project Manager for a capital raise initiative and later became a Programme/SME lead on a new bank application.

From 2018 to 2019, Aniq worked as a Programme/SME lead on a high-priority new bank application for a financial services firm with significant assets under management. Aniq established a two-year bank stand-up plan and produced a successful business plan submitted to the PRA and FCA.

In 2019, Aniq joined Castle Trust as the Head of Transformation, overseeing strategic change initiatives, including obtaining a banking license. Aniq also chaired the Enterprise Wide Risk Committee and supported culture embedding activities.

Aniq then worked at AQ Advisory in 2020, where they provided consultancy services for UK/EU/international bank license applications, risk management frameworks, and key banking documents. Later in 2020, they joined Perenna as the Head of Regulatory Affairs, responsible for managing relationships with regulatory and political stakeholders and leading change programs.

In 2022, Aniq became a Member of the Membership Forum at The Chartered Banker Institute. Overall, Aniq has demonstrated expertise in regulatory affairs, banking license applications, risk management, and strategic transformation within the financial sector.

Aniq Ahmed has an education history that includes a Master of Science (MSc) in Economic History from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) obtained between 2011 and 2012. Aniq also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Financial Economics with Econometrics from the University of Kent, completed from 2008 to 2011.

In terms of additional certifications, Aniq Ahmed has obtained the Introduction to Cyber Security certification from The Open University in May 2022. Aniq also completed the Diversity and inclusion in the workplace certification from Coursera in June 2021.

Furthermore, Aniq Ahmed pursued an Advanced Diploma in Banking and Leadership in a Digital Age from The Chartered Banker Institute, conducting their studies from 2019 to 2021 in the field of Banking.
