James McQueen

James McQueen has a varied work experience in the finance, investment, and legal sectors. James currently holds the position of Portfolio Manager and Legal Principal at Perennial Partners. Previously, they served as a Director and a member of the Investment Committee at SecondQuarter Ventures, where they played a crucial role in establishing key business and investment processes. James also worked as an Advisor at Salta Properties, the venture division of Salta Properties, and at Carbar, an innovative car subscription service. James has also been involved as an Investor, Advisor, and General Counsel at LiveHire, an HR productivity platform provider, and held advisory and co-founder roles at General Standards, a law firm specializing in starting new businesses. Additionally, they have experience in the hospitality industry through their role as an Advisor in Tribe Hotels, which was subsequently acquired by Accor Hotels. James holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School.

James McQueen has an extensive education history. James obtained a Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence + Business Strategy from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2020. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Melbourne Business School from 2013 to 2015. In 2008, they received a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment (SA Fin) from FINSIA. James McQueen also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons) from the University of Melbourne, which they obtained from 2000 to 2003 and 1998 to 2003, respectively. James completed an exchange program in Internet Law at the Faculty of Laws at The University of Edinburgh from 2001 to 2002. Additionally, they obtained a Legal Practising Certificate from the Law Institute of Victoria in 2005.
