Bennett Hiles

Bennett Hiles has an extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Bennett is currently working as a Staff Software Engineer at Perennial since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Coinbase for four years. At Coinbase, they held various roles, including Staff Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Engineering Manager. Before joining Coinbase, Bennett worked as a Software Engineer at Button, Inc. for three years. Bennett also has experience working at awe.sm (acquired by Unified Social) and Motally (acquired by Nokia) as a Software Engineer. In their role at awe.sm, Bennett was responsible for designing and building highly available infrastructure and APIs, leading the operations roadmap, and managing a team of engineers. At Motally, they developed a data processing pipeline using Hadoop, Pig, and AWS. Bennett started their career as a Software Engineer at LeapFrog and as a Software Engineer Intern at LeapFrog Enterprises, Web Engineering. Bennett also worked as a Design Verification Engineer Intern at Savi Technology. Throughout their career, Bennett has demonstrated strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a focus on improving operational efficiency and team collaboration.

Bennett Hiles attended the University of California, Davis from 2002 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering. In addition to their degree, they also obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in December 2014.
