Edward Lee began their career in 1987 as a Financial Analyst at Goldman Sachs, where they worked in the Financial Strategies Group and developed quantitative strategies in the fixed income group. In 1988, they moved to Morgan Stanley, where they worked as a Financial Analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group and was a member of PDG. In 1992, they joined Tessera as a Business Development professional. Edward then moved to Robertson Stephens in 1994, where they worked as a Research Analyst. In 1997, they joined Banc of America Securities as a Managing Director and Senior Equity Research Analyst. In 2005, they became a Partner at Pacific Madrone Capital LLC, where they managed private investment funds and used a bottoms up, scenario-based, fundamental approach to evaluate investments. Since 2015, they have been the Vice President at Perfect Company, where they work on a hardware-enabled software service that helps consumers prepare better food and drinks in their homes.

Edward Lee attended Phillips Exeter Academy from 1981 to 1984 and then went on to The Wharton School, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance in 1987.
