Austin Malone

Regional Tournament Director, Florida at Perfect Game

Austin Malone is currently the Regional Tournament Director for Florida at Perfect Game. Austin has previous experience working as a coaching intern, field director, and baseball operations intern for Perfect Game USA.

Malone began their career with Perfect Game USA in May 2015 as a baseball operations intern. In this role, they were responsible for scouting and evaluating hundreds of youth baseball players from ages 10-18. Austin also assisted with field maintenance of baseball fields in the Mid-Atlantic region and facilitated various skill tests for youth baseball players. In addition, Malone designed and filled out team rosters using Microsoft Word and Excel and coordinated tournaments by contacting coaches, handling equipment, and organizing registration.

In May 2016, Malone was promoted to Field Director. In this role, they supervised tournament games, delivered a game cast service for fans and Perfect Game using the program GameChanger, and performed maintenance on numerous baseball fields in the South Jersey area.

Most recently, Malone has been serving as the Regional Tournament Director for Florida at Perfect Game since February 2016. In this role, they are responsible for delivering a game cast service for fans using the program GameChanger, assisting with pre-game infield/outfield routine, handling equipment and substitutions during games.

Austin Malone received a Master of Science in Sport and Entertainment Management from Neumann University and a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a minor in Coaching Education from North Carolina State University.

Their manager is Justin Amidon, National Tournament Director. Austin Malone works with Andrew Jenkins - Regional Tournament Director, South, Michael Tarzwell - Regional Tournament Director, West, and Telly Helms - Tournament Staff, Georgia.
