Meghna Sarawat

Meghna Sarawat has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Meghna started their career as an intern at Autumn Worldwide, where they brainstormed marketing strategies and attended brainstorm sessions for video advertisements. Meghna then worked as a marketing intern at Burger King India, conducting research and presenting findings on a new menu item. Meghna also interned at Border&Fall, curating content for clients' social media pages and organizing styled looks for a fashion show.

Meghna gained further experience as a summer assistant at Second City Works and as a fashion features intern at Vogue, where they researched and fact-checked copy for publication, worked on PR with designers, and pitched and wrote articles for the online platform.

Meghna's skills in social media management and growth strategies were developed during their role as a social media intern at kaia naturals, where they strategically grew the TikTok following and collaborated on growth strategies. Meghna also interned at KOY Gear, conceptualizing an Instagram feed and creating storyboards and scripts for Kickstarter.

Their experience at Viral Nation as a talent coordinator involved coordinating talent acquisition and management. Most recently, Meghna worked at Golden Post, where they co-founded the company and supported client's business strategies through creative content development, networking, consulting on visual composition, and brand development.

Currently, Meghna is working as a growth associate at Performance Art.

Meghna Sarawat earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism with a Minor in Fashion with Distinction from Ryerson University, completing their studies from 2018 to 2022. In addition, they obtained several certifications, including a BMC Certification from Bloomberg LP in January 2021, an edX Verified Certificate for Harvard's CS50's Introduction to Computer Science from edX in January 2021, and a certification in Modern Art & Ideas from The Museum of Modern Art in May 2020. Prior to their university education, Meghna was recognized as a Centennial Scholar by Garth Webb Secondary School in June 2017 and obtained a Certificat de Compétences Français Langues Seconde Programme Cadre from the same institution. Meghna also earned an OELC Leadership certification from the Ontario Educational Leadership Centre/Centre d'Animation Scolaire de l'Ontario (OElC/CASO) in March 2017 and a Canada Cord from Girl Guides of Canada in June 2014.
