Mike Kelly

Mike joined Performance Trust in 2012, when he helped open the Greenwich, CT Institutional Sales office. In 2016, Mike founded our Capital Markets Group with David Ferguson to expand the range of investment options we can provide our clients. By working with a broad range of issuers that are largely underserved by Wall Street, the team is focused on creating better risk/reward assets than are otherwise attainable. The group has quickly become a leader in unique and first-time securitizations, and is an active participant in attractive loan trading opportunities. He began his career at Goldman Sachs in Mortgage Sales and has held senior sales positions at Wachovia and HSBC. Over his 24 years of experience, he has worked with a range of large investors, including PIMCO, Freddie Mac and BlackRock, among others. His active role in the new issue process with these investors involved close interaction with capital markets and structuring. Through these long-term efforts, he developed a deep understanding of complex financial structures, transaction requirements, and investor needs-core skills which he brings to working with issuers of senior financings, and carefully structuring strong credit enhancement for our investors. Mike holds an MBA and graduated with high honors from the Cornell University Johnson Graduate School of Management. He is Series 7, 63, and 79 registered.
