Ashley Byrne

Ashley Byrne has extensive experience in maintenance and engineering, currently serving as the Maintenance Engineering & Assets Superintendent for Surface Operations at Perilya since February 2004, following roles as an Underground Electrical Supervisor and Maintenance Electrician. Since October 2024, Ashley has also been a Councillor for the Broken Hill City Council and has been a Retained Firefighter with Fire and Rescue NSW since March 2007. Ashley holds an Advanced Diploma in Applied Mechanical Engineering from the Engineering Institute of Technology, expected to complete in November 2025, an Advanced Diploma in Applied Electrical Engineering, and a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Systems Electrician from TAFE NSW, along with a Certificate IV in Frontline Management from Creative Intension.
