James Hickson

James Hickson is an experienced professional in the field of laboratory services, currently serving as the Functional Lead for PerkinElmer, Inc. since April 2020. In this role, James oversees the PerkinElmer OneSource Technical Lab Services in Stevenage and extends responsibilities to EMEAI sites, focusing on standardizing procedures and fostering team development. Previously, as a Technical Laboratory Services Leader, James led a team of 50 in delivering complex scientific support to GSK. James has also held positions such as Lab Manager/Team Lead at VWR, where responsibilities included establishing a team to support GSK scientists, and Team Leader at Envigo, where expertise in scheduling and analytical support strengthened relationships with pharmaceutical clients. James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Chemistry from De Montfort University, obtained in 1995.
