Joseph J. Aliotta, FAIA LEED, currently serves as Vice Chair for the New York Building Congress since February 2022 and holds the position of Principal and Studio Leader at Perkins Eastman, a globally recognized architecture firm, since October 2014. Previously, Joseph was the Managing Principal at Swanke Hayden Connell Architects from January 1989 to October 2014 and served as Past President of the AIA New York Chapter from January 2012 to December 2013. Joseph's early career included roles as Project Manager at Ellerbe Becket and Technical Architect positions at SOM and Gruzen Samton LLP. Joseph earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from The City College of New York and a Diploma in Real Estate Investment & Analysis from New York University. Joseph completed education at Brooklyn Technical High School before pursuing higher education.
