Tyler began drawing floor plans of dream houses around age seven. During a family trip to England, he was inspired by its centuries of architecture, which motivated him to pursue life as an architect. At college, he was able to spend a semester in Japan, whose rich architectural tradition further broadened his wonder and passion for the built environment.
These experiences of world architecture continue to inform Tyler’s work, from planning and conceptual design through construction documentation and administration. After more than 20 years of practice, he’s developed expertise in multi-family residential, office, and retail.
Tyler enjoys collaborating with teams across different Perkins Eastman studios, bringing knowledge and talent together toward solutions for project goals. In the DC studio, he participates in outreach initiatives with local architecture schools, believing in the value of connecting higher education with practice.
