Phaedra Svec serves as the Director of Regenerative Design and Associate Principal at Perkins&Will since August 2022, focusing on guiding design and development teams towards achieving net-positive outcomes in areas such as energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and social equity. Prior to this role, Phaedra held the position of Director of Regenerative Design and Senior Associate at McLennan Design, where efforts were directed towards significant positive changes through regenerative design solutions. Experience also includes serving as an Associate at BNIM Architects, where Phaedra was a founding member of the Elements Sustainable Design Consulting Division. Early career roles include positions as Intern Architect at Foss Seligson Lafferty Architects and Rennaissance Design Group, as well as a Student Intern in Facilities Planning and Management at Iowa State University. Phaedra holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Iowa State University and completed the Biomimicry 3.8 Backyard Workshop in 2010.
