Safdar Abidi

Safdar Abidi is a seasoned architect with extensive experience in the higher education sector. Currently serving as Principal and Practice Leader at Perkins&Will since June 2015, Safdar leads the Higher Education practice in the Toronto and Ottawa offices and contributes to global research on student experience and campus environments. Prior to this role, Safdar was Vice President and Higher Education Practice Leader at Cannon Design, where responsibilities included establishing and nurturing client relationships across Ontario and Eastern Canada. Previous experience includes project architect roles at KPMB Architects, B+H Architects, and corporate architect at Citi, where design projects spanned various sectors. Safdar holds a Master of Architecture from the University at Buffalo and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
