Ege Ersü

Ege Ersü is a Senior Data Engineer at Perlego since February 2022, serving as the Technical Lead for the Data Platform built on AWS and Databricks Delta Lake. Responsibilities include ensuring the reliability and cost-efficiency of data ingestion, ETL workflows, infrastructure, event streaming, and third-party data exports. Previously, Ege co-engineered Perlego's Delta Lake on Databricks and significantly reduced analytics querying costs by 50% through the development of a Reporting Layer. Ege's earlier experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at KUIS AI, where an open-source package for machine learning model transfer was created, and as a Machine Learning Intern at Miletos Inc. Ege holds a Master of Science in Informatics from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Koç University, with additional studies at Rice University and the University of Sussex.
