Chrl Emma Surich

Emma Surich, CHRL has a diverse and extensive work experience in talent acquisition and recruitment. Currently, they hold the position of Director, Talent Acquisition at Perpetua, a growth optimization and reporting technology company for eCommerce businesses. Prior to this, Emma worked at ecobee, where they served as Manager of Talent Acquisition and later as Lead of Talent Acquisition. Emma has also held roles as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist and Talent Acquisition Specialist at ecobee.

Before joining ecobee, Emma worked as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Dream Unlimited, a leading real estate company. Emma also gained experience in the brewing industry as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Molson Coors, one of North America's oldest brewing companies. Additionally, Emma worked as a Recruiter at Sobeys, a prominent Canadian food retailer.

Earlier in their career, Emma held positions at MDC Partners as a Staffing Manager, at Gilmore Partners as a Recruitment Consultant, and at The Bagg Group as a Recruitment Assistant.

Throughout their career, Emma has demonstrated their expertise in talent acquisition and shown their ability to adapt to different industries and organizations.

Emma Surich, CHRL started their education at the University of Waterloo from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Political Science and Economics. Emma then attended Seneca Polytechnic in 2008 to 2009 and earned a Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management. In 2010, Emma also briefly studied Recruitment/Staffing at Morgan Consulting Group.

In terms of additional certifications, Emma completed the Ascend's Leadership Program in June 2021. Emma also obtained the Certified Joint Health and Safety Member certification from the Ontario Ministry of Labour in March 2014. Earlier, in November 2013, they received the Level 1 - Beer Enthusiast certification from Prud'Homme. Lastly, Emma achieved the CHRL (Certified Human Resources Leader) certification from HRPA in August 2010.
